So obviously we have a forum. We can go on debating format, but I suggest
we get started and evaluate format later. Since J. Mathew Buchanan made the
first suggestion, I suggest he sets the ball rolling. He might like to
title his posting:
JC June: T cell education [for example]
In the text there should be the title of the paper and any associated
information he thinks would be helpful (journal name, volume and page)
Of course, one should not choose one's own papers or a paper of someone
with whom one has had some professional relationship (e.g. student,
post-doc.)
From that point on anyone could comment on the paper, but I suggest a
delay of about 1-2 weeks so that everyone can get the paper and digest it.
Then the proposer would open the discussion. This might go on for some
time and overlap with the JC for July, but the latter communications would
begin with the header JC July.......
The initial comments from members of the group, do not
indicate too strong views,or profound disagreement with
this, so I suggest Mathew Buchanan begins Wednesday
June 1st.
