Heavy water/Mulks

Dear Colleagues:
     One of the respondants, Mulks, commented that some time ago they learned 
of how heavy water caused some dizziness and nausea due to density 
differential in the inner ear. 
     I heard something similar in which it was said that the Canadian 
astronaut candidate, Dr. Money, did some studies in which heavy water (which 
causes an increase in density in the inner ear) negated the same effects of 
alcohol intake (which causes a decrease in density in the inner ear)...John
