What is the significance of a low IgM in a 40 year old female ?
What could cause this ?
I have in my mind that:-
1. It could be immuneparesis due to some undetected myeloma
2. It could be due to a IgM cryoglobulin.
3. It could be s selective deficiancy.
Is there anything else it could be ?
I plan to request serum electrophoresis, C3/C4 and collect a proper
specimen for cryoglobulins. Is there anything else I should be
considering ?
