Hello
First thing to do, assuming you are detecting by FACS, is to learn
how to do autofluorescence compensation. Essentially this is an
electronic process that allows subtraction of background. Very
effective. Paper on how to do it is Albert and Herzenberg. Then,
use a secondary antibody that is APC or PE conjugated. These are
currently the brightest dyes for detection by FACS.
