Type A streptococcus

Dear Netter,

I would like to get infos about the hemolytic type A streptococcus 
bacteria that causes fatal necrosis within 48 h. Some newspapers have 
called this bacteria the "flesh eater". Does anyone have good 
refs on this killer? A poeple from a lab next door beleive that this 
strep is a normal germ that becomes dangerous after being infected by a 
bacteriophage. What do you think?
