Georges Koehler - Orbituary

I read first in a german newspaper and later in the AP message 
(alt.news.world.germany) from Mar. 2nd that Prof. Georges Koehler died 
from pneumonia at age 48. Does anybody know anything more detailed?
Is there no information out in the immunologists world?

Just a reminder: He received the 1984 nobel prize for developing
the monoclonals while working for Cesar Milstein.
