This is a method to visualize morphologically the DNA blebbing. This was
used as early as the 60's by Wiley et al. in their description of
apoptosis. Today many more elegant techniques are available that are
easy to do and quantitate. We use TUNEL which is superior to
hypochromosomal shifts with Propidium iodine or DNA laddering.
