Personally, I'd find the nearest copy of WE Paul's Immunology book. 
In there, you will find and outstanding and entire chapter devoted to 
flow cytometery.  I occasionally have users that have never interpreted 
histograms and they have found that chapter very informative.

Are you aware that there is a flow cytometry listserv group?
