You might check the review of that in Science, oh 4-5 mos ago.  Apparently,
Rasmussens is actually an autoimmune disease.  Plasmaphoeresis (sp?) can
temporarily  cure , well, alleviate the symptoms.  If you cant find the
review, I'll medline it for you.
