Allergy to Fragrances

Dear Betty,
ok I understand you went to see a allergy specialist.
I am quite surprised to hear that there seems to be trouble with the
testing. In our allergy department we regularly test fragrances, but this
is a skin test only. If a patient is "positive" for the mix, it can be
further split up to narrow down the choice.
However, this skin test doesn't say much about your type-1 symptoms.
You'd have to find someone to do a nasal provocation with fragrances and
check for symptoms. Since this is not such an easy thing to do, you might
have to look around for a while.
Good luck!
