Our lab is trying to detect oncogene message expression using PCR in
human bone marrow progenitor cells and peripheral blood
mononucleocytes. We recently observed that the presence of human
red blood cells may interfere with the detection/expression of mRNA
in nucleated cells. We are wondering if there is anyone has
encountered similar situations? It would be greatly appreciated if
anybody could suggest which components from red blood cell may
contribute this phenomena. Many thanks.
