For immobilizing antibodies that show reduced reactivity when directly bound to polystyrene, we
have successfully utilized biotinylation of the antibody followed by binding to streptavidin coated
plates (you can make your own or purchase them from Pierce). This seems to get the antibody
off the plate on enough of a "tether" to allow full reactivity. Of course, biotinylation of some Mab's
results in inactive antibody.....
