Tris buffers

Hi, out there...

I remember hearing once that in mouse spleen cell proliferation assays, the
stimulating antigens should not be dissolved in Tris buffers.  Can anyone
elaborate: is this true?  Is there something about Tris buffers that is
incompatible with lymphocyte proliferation assays?  If so, can anyone
explain what it is?
