On a recent study guide given to me by my cell biology professor, he asks the following question: Although you have been immunized with polio vaccine, you are unable to destroy virus infected cells obtained from another infected individual. Why not? Is this because the virus that infected the other individuals cells are of a slightly different strain that you have been immunized against? If anyone can help me with this, please e-mail me. Thanks in advance!
