Sorry... I left out a part of a sentence up there. It should read something 
like this:

vDNA for the Rabies virus protein coat is spliced into a plant's DNA, and 
so when the plant is eaten by an animal, immunity to the Rabies antigen is 
conferred.

Sorry for the confusion.
