Dear Dr. Kasihara

I read your posting with much interest and I have some questions for
you. First you say that "High levels of ACTH are reserved to lower the
blood glucose level of patients which causes apoptosis in lymphocytes"
Do the lymphocytes undergo apoptosis because of too little glucose or
just because of the ACTH?

Second, you said that recognition of antigen by lymphocytes can be
altered by steric hinderance induced by glucose molecules. Do you have
any more information of ideas about how that may work?
