I saw on a TV news that the Chinese are producing
medicinal or herbal cigarettes either to reduce
the negative impact of cigarette smoke or to
produce certain therapeutic effects or both.
By the way, since you're in Japan, may be
you can update us on the report I read some time
ago that Japanese scientists are trying to
isolate a new class of anti-biotic or polypeptide
from the maggots of common house flies. The
maggots survive in very harsh, germ-infested
environments and apparently have very
effective immune defenses.
