Two of the leading researchers in heavy metal induction of
autoimmunity are David Lawrence and Ulrich Rudofsky who have
joint appointments at the Albany Medical College and the
New York State Department of Health and Pierluigi Bigazzi
of the UCONN Health Center. I know they have worked with
nickel and lead extensively as it relates to alteration
of antigenic epitopes and induction of autoimmunity.
