As far as I know are granulocytes not sensitive to irradiation by x-ray because they are finally differentiated and will no longer divide. X-ray does only touch proteins at very high doses. When using UV irradiation you may inactivate your cells fairly quick but this bakes the proteins. Bernhard Kleine
