Does anyone know of a method to solubilise the alkaline phosphatase product
of NBT-BCIP on nitrocellulose blot strips? The protein levels I need to
detect are quite low and would like the chance to develop the blots for
longer and remove any background/homogenous staining that may occur due to
the prelonged incubation time with an AlkPhosphatase secondary IgG. There
is a protocol for reducing background on regular silver stained SDS-PAGE
gels - anyone know of one for blots [to improve blots for subsequent
photography].
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
