Who Discovered IgE?

The idea that there was a serum component responsible for allergy was
first demonstrated in 1921 by K Plausnitz and H Kustner. They injected
serum from an allergic person into the skin of another. When the allergen
was applied topically to the injection sitea wheal and flare reaction was
seen (analogous to hives). IgE was later identified by K and T Ishizaka
in 1966 in the serum of allergic rabbits.

Hope this helps.
