B-2 & Protein metabolism

Immuno readers,
Some of my readings have indicated that Vitamin B-2 boosts protein
metabolism. This is also indicated by my experience with stimulating
the liver to produce IGF-1, a polypeptide. Other readings indicate that
proteins are constantly being manufactured and broken down. Some health
problems are associated with abnormal proteins. Since normal and abnormal
proteins should be broken down equally well, but normal proteins more
readily manufactured, boosting protein metabolism might result in reducing
the amount of abnormal proteins. In some cases genetic defects might
boost production of abnormal proteins.
