Applications are invited for research positions to study 1) the structure
and expression of the human transaldolase gene and an associated
human repetitive element (J. Biol. Chem. 269: 2847-2851, 1994) 2)
oligodendrocyte-specific expression and autoantigenicity of human
transaldolase in patients with multiple sclerosis (J.Exp.Med.
180:1649-1663, 1994; J. Clin. Invest. 99:1238-1250, 1997), and 3) role of
transaldolase in apoptotic signaling (J. Biol. Chem, 271:32994-33001,
1996) with a special emphasis on oligodendrocytes and lymphoid cells.
Experience in molecular biology, immunology, and/or signaling
mechanisms is required. Applicants should send a letter expressing their
interest and qualifications, a curriculum vitae, and the names, addresses,
and telephone numbers of three references to Andras Perl, Professor of
Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology, State University of New York
Health Science Center, College of Medicine Syracuse, NY 13210, USA;
