Are youasking about EMSA assays?  IF so I remember reading a laurie glimcher 
paper that dealt with transcription factors for murine IL-4 (nk-at and 
ap-1) and they worked out where the factor bound using a panel of oligos that 
contained small nucleotide changes. Try immunity 2:473, may 1995
