Scott,
Its hard to beleive that you can't find info on how humoral immune 
responses cause tissue damagae.  Simply look up hypersensitivity, and you 
will find more info than you can digest.  Just as an example, it is well 
known that rheumatic heart disease is caused by a normal humoral response 
against Group A Strep infection.  The mechanism is well known:  
Antibodies against M protein in the cell walls of GAS cross react with 
cardiac myosin.  Binding of these Abs to heart muscles result in 
complement fixation and destruction of the heart tissue.

Pick up any decent microbiology or immunology text and you will find what
