As far as I know, IL-4 is required for this class switch, and probably IL-13
as well as this shares a receptor chain (and many, but not all) functions
with IL-4.

Probably not just the amount of ag is important here. Parasitic antigens
always tend to give Th2 responses despite the amounts administered. When
priming a Th2 response to an particular antigen, the adjuvant is also as
important.
