There is a stack of information on the role of Ag load on Th1/Th2 cell
phenotypes (Parish 1972, Bretscher 1992, Secrist 1995), in addition type of
APC (Gajewski 1991, Pfeiffer 1991, De Becker 1994, Macatonia 1995),
presence of competing cytokines (Swain, 1990, Mocci and Coffman 1995) Ag
type (parasites probably come in here, Pfeiffer 1991), types of
co-stimulation (Kuchroo 1995) and route of inoculation (Parish 1972) have
been suggested to affect Th phenotype. Probably they all or most of them
interact at some level (Macatonia 1995, Secrist 1995). I think Kim
Bottomly's group has done a lot of work with Ag load.
