THE FAUCI FILES, Vol 3(22): More Cocktail "Immune Reconstitution" = More
Virus !
January 22, 2000
The ever-shifting theoretical model of reverse-engineered
HAART cocktail "immune reconstitution" has become a grim
comedy of fraud and greed-based fatal errors in mass human
experimentation :
"Differences in the patterns of naive T-cell increases
was "somewhat unexpected," as was the significantly higher
plasma HIV-1 RNA load in the group with abundant thymic
tissue. "Of particular interest is the fact that individuals
with greater thymic tissue and greater naive cell
restoration also may be at increased risk for treatment
failure after HAART."
A mere child can see the Theory of Pharmaceutical Viral
Fixation and Fascism has failed -- so why can't the ever-diminutive
leader NIH/NIAID Dictator-Direktor Dr. Anthony "Mussolini" Fauci?

T-cell restoration patterns influenced by amount of thymic tissue
WESTPORT, Jan 18 (Reuters Health) - A multicenter team has found that
after 4 weeks of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), patients
with more thymic tissue have significantly greater increases in naive
CD4+ T-cell counts compared with patients with less thymic tissue.
However, these patients also appear to be at increased risk of viral
rebound.
"Thymic computerized tomography scans were obtained on 30 individuals
with HIV disease to investigate the role of the thymus in cellular
restoration after 48 weeks of HAART," Dr Kimberly Y. Smith of Rush
Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Ill, and colleagues
explain.
Between week 2 and 24 of therapy, the subjects with "...abundant thymic
tissue...had higher absolute numbers of circulating naive CD4+ T
lymphocytes" compared with patients with minimal thymic tissue, they
report in the January issue of the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
"These differences were independent of age differences between the
groups."
While the increase in circulating naive CD4+ and CD8+ cells was
significantly greater in patients with abundant thymic tissue after 4
weeks of therapy, over the course of 48 weeks"...the increase in naive
CD4+ cells in the patients with smaller thymuses tended to be greater."
Patients with more thymic tissue "...were also more likely to experience
viral rebound despite comparable initial declines in plasma HIV-1 RNA,"
the researchers add.
Differences in the patterns of naive T-cell increases was "somewhat
unexpected," as was the significantly higher plasma HIV-1 RNA load in
the group with abundant thymic tissue. "Of particular interest is the
fact that individuals with greater thymic tissue and greater naive cell
restoration also may be at increased risk for treatment failure after
HAART."
Overall, these data "...suggest that there is an important and complex
relationship between the thymus, cellular restoration, and viral
replication that merits additional study."
