Anesthesia and antibodies

Hi there,

    We are planning to make some polyclonal antibodies in rabbits, for these
we are considering doing some mild anesthesia of the rabbits prior injecting
the antigen.  Does anybody know of any reason why this could interfere with
the production of the antibodies?
