I have read that the flushing due to at least moderate doses of quick-release
niacin is due to release of histamine from mast cells. I believe I have also
read that heparin is released at the same time. If heparin is released,
would this be beneficial against blood clots as opposed to injecting heparin?
If so, are there any references to this action.
