In our lab we use the frosted ends of glass slides to disrupt spleens
and LN. It works great and is a very cheap method. Just wet the frosted
ends of 2 slides with HBSS/10%serum and place the spleen on one slide.
Slowly grind the spleen immersing in media as you go. It is better to
take several small bites of the spleen rather than trying to grind all
of the spleen at once.
