Great news that Academic Press is following the example of the Journal of
Biological Chemistry in getting all its journals on-line. Could you give
readers some indication of the charges for this service? Also, will this new
initiative be accompanied by an effort to reduce publication delays? At present
even when accepted, there is a delay of 4-6 months before authors receive
page proofs for the Journal of Theoretical Biology, and a further 2-4 months
delay before the paper eventually appears.
