Visiting Post Doc
Mutator Transposon Evolution/Genomics
Pursue independent research involving maize transposon Mutator. Some
aspects of Mu functional genomics and/or evolution of MuDR in grasses will
be explored. Specific project by negotiation with P.I. Supervise
technicians as required. Prepare research results for publication and
annual reports. Participate in preparation of proposals including
fellowships. Some work in greenhouse and field.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in genetic biology. Strong interest in evolution as
a discipline. Experience with routine and experimental PCR procedures.
Experience with one or more grass species desireable. Annual salary from
$26K to $41K, depending on experience. Appointment is for one year with
possibility of renewal contingent upon finding. Send letter, vita and 3
