Maize Genetics Research Needs

	In considering the priorities suggested for research designed 
to improve
maize as an organism for genetic research, I propose that a new # 1 be
formed by adding the elements of # 10 to # 1.  Such a statement would be
more persuasive and powerful than separating the parts of what should be a
unit.  I believe that decoupling these parts as at present greatly weakens a
useful emphasis.
