Post doctoral research associate in molecular biology of drought
tolerance in soybean

A postdoctoral research associate position is available immediately at
University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) to work on the gene discovery
project for drought tolerance in soybean. The successful candidate will
work on the identification, cloning and expression of tissue specific
and stress responsive genes, and transcription factors for the drought
tolerance in soybean. Also, the post doctoral fellow will be responsible
for the organ specific and stress specific promoter identification and
characterization. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in plant biology,
genetics, or a related discipline. The position requires a strong
background in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, vector
construction, promoter analysis, quantitative PCR and transgenic
analyses. Experience with gene regulation and silencing, signal
pathways, and biological databases is desirable. Applications will be
