Greetings fellow researchers!
As part of the public Maize Genome Sequencing Project (NSF Grant
#0527192, http://nsf.gov/news/news_summ.jsp?cntn_id=104608), we are
pleased to announce the release of a maize genome browser available
at http://www.maizesequence.org. Developed in close collaboration
with the Gramene project (http://www.gramene.org), the Ensembl-based
browser provides full access to the latest data related to the
project in a user-friendly interface.
The browser visualizes relevant datasets anchored to both the maize
physical FPC map as well as the maize genetic map. Such datasets
include marker alignments, cytogenetic bins, gene predictions, and
cross-species syntenies. For more information, please feel free to
contact me.
