)
7th Plant BioMechanics International Conference
August 20 to 24 - 2012 - Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Call for Papers Submission
Plant Biomechanics and Mechanobiology is an
expanding interdisciplinary field, at the
interfaces of biology, mechanics, physics and
engineering. Over the years, the Plant
Biomechanics International Conference has become
the central event of this community, as well as a
unique place for interdisciplinary exchanges
around the amazing features that Plants have
evolved to sense, acclimate and adapt to the
mechanical challenges they have been submitted to.
1. Cell Wall, Cell and Tissue Micromechanics.
2. Trees and Wood Biomechanics.
3. Mechano- and Gravi- Sensing
and Transduction.
4. Biophysics of Growth.
5. Biomechanics of Morphogenesis
(and pattern formation).
6. Plant - Fluids Mechanical Interactions
I- external flows.
7.: Plant-Fluids Mechanical Interactions
II internal fluids.
8. Plant- Soil Mechanical Interactions.
9. Plant Motions and Plant Tribology.
10.:Ecological and Evolutionary Biomechanics.
11. Integrative Biomechanical Modelling.
12. Metrology and Software for Plant Biomechanics and Mechanobiology.
13. Plant Biomechanics for Biomimetics.
14. Applied Biomechanics for Material Sciences and Engineering.
15. Miscellaneous = Other topics.
