ss DNA cleavage by restriction ennzymes

Rich Roberts brought out the major reason why we never published
these experiments, i.e. if the lack of ss cleavage activity at elevated
temperatures was due to a factor other than melting of a small ds
DNA region in the ss DNA template.  Maybe he could post the list of
relevant references and someone could come up with a more definative
answer to this unresolved issue.
