Help with coverslipping medium

Hello all, I have a bit of a problem.  I am doing neural tract-tracing
using Rhodamine latex microspheres, and co-localizing with a
flouresecent counter-stain (FITC - flourocein)  The problem is that,
initially my FITC staining wouldn't come out, and when I finally got it
to work, the coverslipping medium dissolved it!!  I have tried both
permount and krystalon.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.
