Cloning big inserts into PGEM-Help?

Hello!

Have anyone experience in cloning big (over 3kb inserts ) to 
Pgem -3Z or Pgem -4Z vectors (Promega)? I have difficulties 
to get 4kb insert into 2.7kb vector is this normal or  has 
anyone else been  noticed the same? What is the ratio 
between the sizes of vector and insert in ligation and 
also the concntration ratio?
