Dissolution of DNA

I had the same experience when I first tried to extract mouse
genomic DNA. I found the key is avoiding prolonged contact
with ethnol. As soon as the DNA is on the glass rod,I quickly
washed it with plenty of TE to get rid of ethnal instead of let it dry.
Then dissolve it in TE. In this way, the DNA is much easier
to be dissolved.
