Protein microsequencing

Hello All,
  To sequence the amino terminal end of a peptide, a facility in Wisconsin 
requires 150 pmol of protein. If the protein is approx. 60,000 daltons, 
then sequencing requires 3 micrograms of pure protein.  Is that typical 
for protein sequencing facilities?  I'd appreciate your replies.
