Hello:
Has anyone tried out the "Lysate RNAase Protection Assay" of Haines and
Gillespie (BioTechniques June, 1992)?
Does it really work? Is it comparable in sensitivity to RPA using purified
RNA? Is there a problem with the fact that there seems to be no step for
denaturing the probe/target molecules by heating prior to hybridization?
I understand there is a kit available. Is it substantially different from the
procedure described in the paper?
Thanks.
