growth of yeast in EM field

I'm  a high school student doing research in gene amplification.
Because of the recent controversy about people living near power
lines with strong electromagnetic fields, i'm attempting to see if
there is any change in gene amplification under these type of fields.
I'm interested in any type of procedure dealing with growing yeast
(or bacteria) in electromagnetic fields. I'm looking for amps, time,
ohmage, etc.
