Bill,

Your comments on pH and temperature with regard to Tris buffers make me 
wonder what happens to pH in a 10 mM Tris-buffered solution (say pH 8.,
for example) when you heat it to 55, 72, and 94 degrees.
Obviously, I'm talking about PCR.

Which leads to the more general question of to what extent does varying
pH affect PCR?  Any comments?
