Does anyone know why PCR's don't (usually) work when you forget to put any oil in the tube? Some of the reaction evaporates and ends up in the lid but most of it stays in the bottom where it should be. Any ideas? Thanks, Phil (E-mail naffara at uk.ac.crc)
