Thanks much for all the advice about dissociating cell sheets without trypsin. The consensus seems to be that Versene (PBS + EDTA) is the way to go, and that is what was done, finally. As far as cell dissociation goes, it was fine. The staining was a different matter altogether. Thanks again. Daniel Kim
