Although I am not sure what you need the ssDNA for ... I have been using
a protocol out of BioTechniques (vol 10, no 1, 1991 pg 24.  Frank
DeFilippes).  I have been generating dsDNA from genomic then making
ssDNA from the ds product and using this ssDNA for sequencing.  The key
for me is to have very clean PCR generated dsDNA otherwise I don't get
usable ss.
