Single-strand rescue of phagemids

Following on the recent thread about decreased yields of single-stranded DNA -
what are the current "best" protocols for single-strand rescue of phagemids? I
am interested in preparing sequencing quality and quantity of ss DNA and wonder
whether anybody has improved on the standard methods. For M13 ss preps we
restrict growth times to 6-8 hours for fear of rearrangements and deletions,
but has anybody got any thoughts on overnight plasmid rescue?
Cheers,
George
