Vacuum blotters - comments?

Netters,

We are thinking about purchasing a vacuum blotter for blotting DNA to 
filters (mainly Southerns).  There are several that we are aware of:

	1. Appligene - ~$1300  - self-contained vacuum pump & blot apparatus
	2. Bio-Rad   - ~$1250  - separate pump & blotter
	3. Millipore - ~$1600  - separate pump & blotter apparatus

My main question is whether anyone has had any problems with these types of 
units, and/or whether the separate vacuum pump units are preferable to the 
selfcontained units for use with slot blots, etc.?
